About PCS Okara

Okara is the capital city of Okara District in Punjab. The city is located south-west to the city of Lahore and is famous for its agriculture-based economy and cotton mills. Okara is a fairly large district in Pakistan in terms of population. Realizing the need for a quality institution in the city for science education, Punjab Group started Punjab College of Science in Okara.

Punjab College Okara is committed to instilling in each student a desire to learn, to take appropriate risks, and to accept challenges. The College community is committed to developing students who are resilient and adaptable, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and disposition to continue their education and become personally fulfilled, interdependent, socially responsible adults.

Like rest of its educational institutions, Punjab College, Okara has finest facilities for its students in terms of academics and co-curricular activities. The College has air-conditioned classrooms with bright and airy corridors. Students are trained for their practical’s in most-modern and state-of-the-art science labs and computer labs. Well-stocked library with experienced librarian is always there to assist students to make best use of resources available.

Co-curricular activities go side by side with academics. Quiz programs, recreational tours, welcome and farewell parties, Na'at competitions and musical concerts are arranged to realize and explore their potentials.
The College is  in its infancy stage in Okara, but still has marked its presence in the city with an outclass performance in co-cuuricular activities. Our students got 1st and 2nd positions in Chief Minister Debates Competitions, (English and Urdu) respectively. Likewise in Essay Writing Competition at District Level, our students bagged 1st and 3rd positions and our students bagged 2nd and 3rd positions in Urdu Essay Writing Competition.
